Clinical Nutrition
Nutrition is a primary foundation of good health. Counseling to fine-tune your habits can have dramatic effects on your health. Nutritional supplements can also be used to therapeutically improve health and prevent disease.
Botanical Medicine
Botanical medicine is an ancient form of medicine that founded modern pharmacology. It takes advantage of the centuries of evolution and adaptation of plants. Plants have both medicinal and nutritional value. Both of these properties can be used to re-establish and maintain health. Botanical medicines come in various forms including tinctures (liquid alcohol extracts), teas, ointments, creams or pills/ capsules.
Intravenous (IV) Therapy
Intravenous therapy delivers vitamins, minerals, and other agents directly to the bloodstream, bypassing the gastrointestinal system, and allowing a more direct path for these ingredients. This can be especially useful in individuals with poor gut absorption or long-standing disease. IV therapy can be beneficial when used alone or as a complement to many other treatment protocols. IV formulations will be specifically chosen for individual patient needs.
Chelation Therapy
Chelation is a specific form of detoxification that specifically targets heavy metals in the body. Specific chelation compounds are chosen based on a patient's test results revealing their individual body burden. Chelators bind specific metals in the body and remove them. Chelation is effective for the treatment of cardiovascular disease and heavy metal toxicity.
Detoxification
In our day to day lives, it is becoming increasingly difficult to avoid environmental toxins. They are in the food we eat, the self-care and cleaning products we use, the water we drink and the air we breathe. Detoxification helps release some of these toxins to restore and maintain optimum health.
Prolotherapy
Prolotherapy or Proliferative Therapy is a natural injection therapy that promotes your body’s own healing processes. Prolotherapy is a non-surgical treatment that promotes lasting and often permanent healing of a joint by stimulating the body’s own repair and regeneration processes.
Injection Therapy
Injection therapy can be helpful for a number of conditions. Prolotherapy and Neural Therapy for example may be indicated for some pain syndromes. Individualized injection formulas that may contain various compounds such as vitamin B 12, magnesium, dextrose, procaine and other preparations may be used. This form of administration can deliver the required substances directly to the affected areas. Dr. McKinnon has trained in many different injection therapies including Prolotherapy, PRP, Neural Therapy, Perineural Therapy, Trigger Point Therapy, Biopuncture, and Mesotherapy.
Neural Therapy
Neural Therapy is a specific injection technique that uses a local anesthetic (procaine) to help re-balance the autonomic nervous system. In Neural Therapy, we look to find “interference fields” that could be adversely affecting a patient’s health. An interference field can be caused by many things such as a scar, an infection, a toxin exposure, or a physical or emotional trauma. Neural Therapy can be an effective standalone treatment or an adjunct for most any health concern. Click here to learn more about Neural Therapy.
Acupuncture
This ancient healing system has over 2,000 years of safe and effective use. It employs herbs, diet, and acupuncture to bring balance to the energy channels, or meridians, of the body, and restore health. It has been proven as an effective treatment for a number of health conditions.
It is easy to forget how large a role our mental processes play in our health. We often take this facet of health for granted, until it is dramatically out of balance. Most of us understand how physical disease can weigh on our emotions or mental health; the opposite is also true, our mental processes are directly connected to our physical body through the hormonal (endocrine) system. At Naturally Inclined Health we employ a number of techniques that can be used to help re-establish and maintain a healthy mental balance.

Bowen Therapy
Bowen therapy is a very gentle, non-invasive technique that works to re-establish alignment of the nervous, connective and soft tissues of the body. This technique involves a series of hands-on movements that restore body balance and promote relaxation. Bowen is indicated for both new and long-standing health concerns and is commonly used for pain.

Homeopathy
This tradition dating back to the early 1700s is based on the principle of “like treating like” to help stimulate the body’s own healing processes. These remedies are very dilute preparations of various sources primarily plant, animal, and mineral.
Massage
Massage has the potential to calm the nervous system, increase circulation, reduce muscle tension, improve sleep, and relieve pain.
